Historic Preservation Fortnight – May 11-28, 2019

Join the Historical Society and the Redlands Conservancy celebration National Historic Preservation month with the following activities:

Monday, May 13 – 6:00 pm. to 7:30 p.m. Opening reception at the Asistencia on Barton Road where the annual Adaptive Reuse Award winner will be announced. Refreshments will be served and tours of the Asistencia will be given.

Tuesday, May 14 – 6 p.m. “Archaeology and Architecture of the R.J. Dunn House” will be given by Donn Grenda, Phd. in assembly room of the A.K. Smiley Public Library at 125 W. Vine Street.

Saturday, May 18 – 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Ground breaking of the MOD Packing house project at 330 Third Street. Get a sneak peak of the inside.

Sunday, May 19 – 9 a.m. 5k walk of the other Zanjas and rock walls of Propect Park. Free and register on EventBrite.com

Tuesday, May 28 – 5:30 p.m. Redlands Forum talk “Walls, Ditches and Gutters” by Nathan Gonzales, Archivist of the Heritage Room of the A.K. Smiley Public Library. Registration required through www.ESRI.com.
