The Baby Boom generation remembers the concerts that were held at the Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino at the National Orange Show Grounds. Concerts began in 1949 and mushroomed into the Rock and Roll era by hosting the Rolling Stones’ first U.S. appearance in 1964.
Steve Chapman is a devoted Swing Auditorium aficionado and has collected posters and memorabilia that recall the glory days of the fabled venue. Mr. Chapman was the former Finance Director for the City of Redlands. He was also a music promoter with more than 20 smaller scale concerts to his credit.
The Society’s meetings are free and open to the public.
