The Redlands Area Historical Society’s program for February is “The Untold Story Behind Abraham Lincoln and Robert Watchorn” on Tuesday, February 24, at 7:00 p.m. at the Redlands Contemporary Club.

RAHS Board member, Bruce Wick will present a program on why the small town of Redlands is home to one of the world’s largest collections of Lincolniana. 

Wick will explore the story behind this unlikely legacy, looking beyond the familiar narrative of Abraham Lincoln to the conviction and vision of Robert Watchorn, an Englishman, who believed Lincoln’s story still mattered profoundly to the modern world.

Wick has been a long time docent at the Lincoln Memorial Shrine and a recent new member of the Historical Society Board of Directors.

The program is open to the public will begin at 7:00 p.m.
