A special walking tour celebrating the 2017 Redlands Historic Preservation Fortnight will be held on Saturday, May 20. Tom Atchley, Vice President of the Historical Society will lead the tour focusing on the Arts & Crafts Architecture of the Eureka and West Cypress Avenue neighborhoods.
Redlands Master Builder, Garrett Huizing completed twelve homes on the 500 block of Eureka Street between 1909 and 1915. The exterior of each home was built with pure redwood, large front porches and river rock.
The tour will start at 9:00 a.m. on the northeast corner of Cypress and Alvarado Streets and end at Eureka and Home Place. The cost of the tour is $10 per person.
