The Redlands Area Historical Society, Inc.<\/span><\/p> &<\/span><\/p> Redlands Conservancy <\/span><\/p>\n \u201c2023 Historic Preservation Fortnight\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n May 15-24, 2023 7:00 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n Various Locations Once again, the Redlands Area Historical Society, Inc. and the Redlands Conservancy will be hosting a series of activities commemorating National Historic Preservation Month over a fortnight time period. A wide variety of events will celebrate the rich historic and cultural resources that are found in Redlands.<\/p> The following calendar is a listing of the events of the 2023 Redlands Historic Preservation Fortnight:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Opening reception at the Asistencia \u2013 26930 Barton Road<\/strong><\/p> Concrete California – Documentary Film Presentation and discussion<\/strong><\/p> The California agricultural industry in aggregate produced over $5B in crops last year, but few know that 73% of this output comes from family-owned farms, orchards, and groves, like the many we love in Redlands.<\/p> This 2019 documentary is the story of the Okuye family, the realities of being a family-run farm, and the measures they are taking to ensure their family\u2019s orchards can continue on into the future.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Workshop: “Is Your House Historic? Did you know that real esate data shows that in fact historic properties tend to command premiums in real estate transactions compared to other properties?
