Redlands Area Historical Society board member Marie Reynolds will present a slide show, “Touring Terracina and West Redlands,” via Zoom on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.. This “armchair” tour will begin on Eureka Street, head west on Brookside Avenue to Terracina Boulevard, continue onto West Cypress Avenue and return to the club house.
Originally designed several years ago as a fund-raising bus trip for the Assistance League’s 4th-grade tours, this is an offshoot of “Treasures and Hidden Neighborhoods” written by Norma Clark, Dodie Farmer, Mary Kay Jacobs, Marie Reynolds and Tish Sandos .
The residences of early settlers on Brookside Avenue, the ill-fated Terracina Hotel, and many other long-gone dwellings will be visited, and some well-known personalities whose homes remain to this day will be discussed.
Marie is the newsletter editor for the Historical Society. She also is a 20+ year member of the Contemporary Club and is co-advisor to Kimberly Juniors. Marie and her husband, Scott live in an 1891 Victorian home where they have raised their four children.
Historical Society programs are free and open to the public. The program will be broadcasted via Zoom. To attend the presentation use the following Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85738894873
